Help with DSP5 and Reflash.

I am having someone else install my DSP5 switch tomorrow, but I was planning to do the reflash tonight. Is this safe? I think the truck will just run on the stock tune until the switch is installed, but am I correct? If anyone can offer any advice it would be greatly appreciated. I'm not very savy at this, and I have only done minimal reading up on the subject!

It is safe. The truck will run on the non dsp tune which is your default tune. Some do the lowest tune as the non dsp tune but I do my biggest as the non dsp tune.

I did mine a few weeks ago (LB7). I built my DSP5 OS using several tunes and left the non DSP tune stock but will change it later to the hot tune. I had some issue with the script not saving the voltage levels and time delay but corrected it and reflashed. Also, make sure you have the interface connected to the truck and laptop before you open the EFI Tune software or you won't be able to do a complete reflash. Turn off all your accessories, including blondstar and don't open any doors or change anything while reflashing. Wait for the time out at the end. Thats what I remember. I didn't pull fuses or isolate the bus in anyway.
