So I've combed the internet, and best I can come up with is the Reese TowBeast.

I need it to work without the stock bumper and therefore without the front nut that is welded to the bumper bracket.

All the hitches I found use that front welded nut. :(

I'm really at a loss.

What do the sledpuller guys use? I know lots of you run a rollpan...

Are you cutting the frame back, Steve? Is that the reason for not using the front (well...rear) fastener?

No that rearmost(back of the truck) fastener is a hole with a welded on nut they want you to thread into. But that nut is on the stock bumper bracket that slides in the frame rails...and I don't have that bracket since I don't have a bumper.

You can't just put a washer and nut on top of the frame to bolt it? I'm not sure on how the roll pans go on or if the hitch would interfere with it. (Not trying to be a smart ass or anything)

I'm sure I could, but doesnt seem like the safest option.

Check with james at big chevy hitch he should be able to make you one.

I have tried to email, call and message on facebook and havent heard back from him in a week so not sure what to do there...

Just drill new holes for it to mount. That's all I did for mine. Worked perfect. I have a roll pan. I was able to use a couple of the factory holes and just drilled the new ones I needed.

I think I'll just steal James' black limo instead of strapping Lilly down with heathen metal again.

Problem solved

I would just use a grade 8 bolt with nut/washer, just like the forward four holes.

BTW, I bought Curt hitch 15521, but the guys are right -- BigChevyHitch makes them specifically for trucks with rollpans.

Like I said above I've tried to get one :/ but it proved difficult to contact and impossible to get an order placed.

I'm just going to borrow the black limo truck though...much easier. :thumb:

I use my stock hitch with a roll pan. Move it forward, and use two existing holes. I used a piece of 2"x2" tube between the back half of the hitch (above receiver), and drilled/mounted it to the spare tire frame. It's worked flawless for years.
