Hello I have a COMPLETELY BONE-STOCK 2003 lb7 it has 340,000 miles on it so the engine has seen better days. The only things that have been changed is the ac pump, the belt, and the injectors and the NSBU switch was replaced. I need help in choosing a new turbo. I am new to the truck business so I want to do this right. I don't want to just buy a new turbo drop it in and hope it doesn't shoot the engine out of the truck. I dont want to get 400+ hp out of a. new setup, I just want a turbo for an everyday driver. Can you guys tell me what turbo I need and what I need to do to the truck so everything works the way it should be working. Thanks I would greatly appreciate it. Oh and also give me ideas for other things like exhaust and exterior work I can do to it. Thanks.

Do you want to build the engine? Do you want a modified stock turbo? What do you do with the truck?

Stock turbos are fine…used ones in good shape can be found for $500 or less. If you want a modified/rebuilt stock one talk to YellowChevy on here. Here's his vendor page-http://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=170

Sounds like you need a stock turbo. Just get it ported, polished, and billet wheel by yellowchevy ^^
