Help Problem Starting

Checklist so far:

Balance rates are good, he checked last nite.
Coolant resevoir is clean, no sign of soot in the tank
Upper radiator hose not pressurized after sitting overnite

My next guess is to check the battery's, if they are not 100% it will take longer to crank the truck, not sure about the white smoke, but he says it only does it on start-up, after its running there is no smoke and the truck seems to run fine. Is it possible that if the battery's are the culpritt for the slow start, could excess fuel due to turning the motor over the extra few seconds be the cause of the white smoke :confused:

white smoke could be coolant or un burned fuel. on a cold engine the amount of raw fuel to cause white smoke will be much less than if it was hot. the only way to check for an injector leaking down overnight would be removing the glow plugs. there may be a little piece of junk in one causing the leak down.
