I have had the ppe tuner installed for about a week now and earlier this afternoon my check engine light came on. I plugged the tuner in and went to pull the code. Well nothing came up. It said "no dtc codes set". So I took it to autozone and they pulled the code P2610. Which came up as control module not programmed. The guy at autozone told me its either a ECM failure, wrong ECM for vehicle, or service program error. so what's the problem I have? The truck is a bone stock 2006 2500 with the lbz with the exception of the tuner. It's not in limp mode and runs and starts fine. Is this something I should be worried about. Also why won't the tuner pick up on the code so I can erase it? Any help would be appreciated!!!

I also talked to one of the guys over at ppe this afternoon and he told me that its a common problem with 2006 and newer trucks. he said just pull up the code on the tuner and erase it. he also said that the code will be thrown from time to time. there's only 2 problems with that. every time I pull it up my tuner reads no dtc codes found and I don't want to have to be constantly checking for the code and deleting the code

I think i got that code at one point and i couldn't clear it for a while. It was a mystery code. If i remember correctly when i took it into the GM dealership and asked about it. They gave me a service bulletin about that code popping up. He told me that a lot of times it comes from the truck having the key in the on position but not started for too long. My light was on for a month or so before it finally let me clear it.
