What he said I am running level 1 on the PPE 40hp. With my other mods and new found air flow I am probably at 60Hp or more over stock!

Sounds very familiar to me. I blew 2 stock LLY turbos on my last truck due to high egt melting the vanes. That loud whining is the noise it made both times until I started hearing crunching noises as the melted vanes threw the turbo off balance causing the bearing to go out and allowing the compressor wheel to grind on the housing chewing it to shit or so I was told.

Update On This Story

Well after getting the replacment Turbo from 4 wheeler I finally got to installing it this past weekend. Here is what I found on the old one. 1 missing blade and a few others bent on the ends. The shaft was bent on the exhaust side but tight on the intake.

It is now running perfectly and I am happy as a clam to have my truck back!

Beers all around!! :beer
