Sounds electrical. Need more info. Did it do it in the former truck? Was the pan off for any reason?

They claimed it was fine. I drove it for like 20 miles with no problems. And yes I did new filters and deep pan.

Post all the info on the trans. You're making this difficult with the lack of info.

Get an ATSG manual and a DVOM and start checking continuity for the E shift wire and solenoid. Start at the TCM and work your way down.

So the solenoids are powered all the time and the tcm grounds them so I should back probe the tcm and turn the solenoid c on/off and see if it changes.

Check all 3 shift solenoids at the TCM connector with ohm meter. They should be 20/30 ohms. Yes the TCM grounds them on command.

Does my tranny have to relearn on stock power level then move up?

No.
Install the power level you want and then let it learn that level. Just be easy on it till the sgifts clear up and get more aggressive gradualy.

Ok I didn't think so. That's just what the guy claimed. Is it ok to drive till I can look in to theses solenoids? I am 99% sure my tcm and tcm wiring is ok I never through that code before. Can the solenoid be a interment problem?

I wouldn't drive it too much and I would be easy on it.

So I tested all 3 cold, at the tcm and they are ok 20ohms. Then tested hot they were all ok 30 ohms. I can turn them on/off with my scanner and truck shifted fine. Is this a interment problem with the solenoid itself? Do they go bad?

sometimes they get a little dirt or a burr on VB... thats what we figured my intermittent hard 2-1 shifting to be.. its cleared it self up now after putting up with it for a few months. You could have the Valve Body removed and cleaned
