I can definitely tell a difference in the tunes. I ran it in "heavy tow" +60 RWHP on my ride home yesterday and was getting around 17.5 at 70 mph so it did improve. I know this truck should be getting better than that though. I'm going to run it on "light tow" tomorrow on my 3 hour drive and see what it gets. I've seen these trucks get much better mpg. I'm just trying to figure this out. My buddy with an identical truck to mine got 19-20 doing 65mph towing a 8000 pound trailer on the interstate with a bully dog.

Was that a hand calculated figure, or off the DIC?

I know plenty of guys claim to get more, but...
17.5mph is pretty average...I wouldn't be too worried about it, thinking you could or should be "getting better MPG"

I believe allot of fuel economy is related to very regimented driving too, being very diligent with the application of throttle, speed and terrain you drive in

^^^this. My best mpg ever was 21 on a highway stretch going 70 with cruise control. Typically I get 11-14 around town, 15-17 highway. Granted I have a lot of mods that don't make it the best fuel efficient truck, but most of the reason I get bad mpg are my driving habits. I just can't stay going a constant speed unless it's 80+ mph.
