I am new to the forum world. Trying to find help with questions/contacts I have pertaining to my 04 LB7. Lost compression in two cylinders. I believe it's 1 and 8. Local shop was doing the work on it before I owned the truck. Told me I needed head work. Well I have decided to do the work myself now that the truck is actually mine. Help!

I have got it stripped down to the heads and in the process of removing them. My goal is to build a f@cking solid motor. Thanks

I can't get the exhaust manifolds off. Basically I need a step by step guide on how to remove the heads. I have the passenger side stripped all the way down. Driver side I was waiting on. It has 200,000 on it. Should I just remove the whole motor and go through it?

I comend you for wanting to do this on your own so please don't take this the wrong way, your in over your head my friend! Your stumped on the easy part it only gets more difficult the deeper you go. I'd search for someone with dmax experience to help you on this journy. It's hard to guide someone through engine repair over the Internet.
