Help Me Find A Truck

Well guys as some of you may or may not have read...my venture into the gas world was abrupt (truck burned down) and now I am looking for a diesel again. Only issue is I have a few more self imposed constraints this time. It may be hard or even impossible to get what I'm looking for but here it goes: Around $10k, reliable daily driver, runs/drives, Diesel (preferably a DMax), 4x4, would like a manual but not a must. That's it...color, body style, cab config none of that matters. Just those simple rules.

That price your looking at a high mileage LB7. Unless it comes with EXTENSIVE documentation of maintenance and service I wouldn't even look at it. Then you still have the injector issue unless you don't plan on keeping it for long and they've recently been done!

That would be awesome....maybe able to squeeze a little more $$$ but not sure...like I said I'm open to other truck options but can't seem to find an 8.1 like I would want otherwise

After doing some math on the budget I can swing something about 18k...not sure i want to go LB7 and have to deal with injector issues but does that help at all?

The money youll save in fuel over the 8.1 will pay for the injectors rather quick if drive very much at all

You can get into a very nice truck and still afford mods for $18K.

Carter..thinking of head out your way cause it seems AZ has pretty decent deals on trucks. Also looking towards some other makes but still unsure...going to look at some today.

cntry125: That's a good point I hadn't thought of but what's a set of injectors go for assuming I did it myself? My old dmax was a LLY so I didn't have to worry about it...wish I could buy it back

Yes, you can find some great deals around here. It is also nice to pick up an AZ truck since the majority of them are clean and we have no rust issues.

2500ish is what ive heard a couple guys do them for. That is bosech injectors and depends on if you need to repair cups. I wish i could do injectors in my truck for that.

A friend of my roomates has a dmax for sale. Has a blown head gasket i think, possibly just a leaking cup. New injectors tho. Pm me if you want some more details.

Trucker at work has a real nice 04. I think it is the 04.5. Really nice shape. only has intake and exhaust, brush guard, topper. crew cab short box. He was looking at 18k for it I think it has 150,000 plus miles(?). Can't remember.
