Simon Im not questioning you , is it common to have a glowplug break off and tear up the motor?

Yeah I will call Guy after the New Year and talk about what I want to do. There are so many routes to take. I just want the truck to be streetable. I won't be towing with it at all and in the winter she'll be stored. I will want to tackle the local sled pulls and the catagories here go by weight not what you have under the hood:D And of coarse the drag strip is where I'll be every weekend.

No, It's not very common

It is about as common as the chance you get you egt wiring and probe wrapped around your turbo wheels!!:spit::rofl:

But affecting the spray pattern and circulation in the bowl could be affected by it's being there so I'd pull it if I didn't need it.

Crower, Carillo, Howard's, and R&R all have good track records for strength. Howard's have the benefit of wrist pin oiling and Carillos have the weight advantage.

I wouldn't rule out forged pistons for a street truck but cutting and coating stock pistons will save a good bit of money. If you are going to use 14mm head studs I would keep your compression as high as you can - only de-lip and cut cut valve reliefs in the pistons for about 16.1:1. It will run better all around and have more power as long as you can keep the heads on.

I have Guy's high RPM 6460 cam and it is very streetable even with a big single, with twins I would really recommend it. Stage 2 heads are nice if they fit the budget but I would recommend at least springs.
