I did head gaskets on my 2001 lb7 duramax because there was pressure in coolant system and it leaked out the back of the block. So I replaced all gaskets to do the job. I'm hoping it's not heads. But I'm thinking it could be injector cups because I never used a injector puller when I ONLY pulled the injector... could this be my problem!??

You didn't have the heads checked?

More than likely cups

I hope for your sanity it is just the cups. I always pull and reseal cups to avoid having issues. How did the dead and block surfaces look? Did you sand the block?

I cleaned the surface of block and head and took a accurate Balanced ruler and layed it on head and block. It wasn't warped. I never pulled the cups... only injectors when I did head gaskets

Had same problem did all that and then found the oilcooler gasket had been leaking allowing a little oil. Into coolant . Cleaned it and put the whole merchant automotive gasket kit with a light amount of anaerobic sealant and problem solved.
