The truck just went into limp mode out of nowhere on the 69E. Limped to exit 66 and pulled into the BP parking lot. CTS gives me codes P0204 and P2146. I clear the codes and it still goes into limp mode. I checked to make sure all the wires at the FICM were ok. They were. Next I checked the injector wire coming out of the valve cover. Looked tight. I unclipped it and sprayed some lube in there. It went half a mile and limped again. I have about 600 miles still to go to get home. Oh and to boot, I'm tied to a 33ft RV:mad: Any ideas guys?

Checked all wires for rub through and I see nothing. Checked the connectors again and still nothing. I'm beginning to think the problem is on the injector harness under the cable cover. I checked the voltages and all seemed good. Then all of a sudden BOOM she limps and shuts down the whole bank of injectors. Runs only on four cylinders.

Do any of you guys know of a reputable shop around here? I Limped it to the Walmart parking lot in Charlotte, MI. I'd take the cover off here in the parking lot, but I don't think they'd appreciate that:D

possible that you either over tightened a connector and fractured the injector solenoid
stud and it broke or one isn't tight enough and worked loose causing it to not make a good connection.

HSP is 70 miles away from where he is.

The only shop I can think of is Team One Chevy in Charlotte. I believe they are next door to the Walmart.

Guys, he's broke down and limping. No way he's getting 50-70 miles, let alone 10. My goodness, think before you type, for cripes sake.

DD, if you havent already found a place, another option is to try Diesel Equipment Sales/Service, 578 E Main in Potterville. (517) 645-7684

Tom, relax. We are offering help/options. If he has to get it towed, he could get to any of those places. Take a chill pill. Jesus.

Sorry for the delay in getting back guys. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure what to do. Especially since the truck was hooked up with the RV.

In the end I ended up calling in a favor. My mechanic that installed the injectors offered to drive all the way to Michigan and fix the truck. Yes, you read that right guys. He closed his shop for three days and made the 12 hour drive to fix my truck. In the Walmart parking lot no less. The #4 injector was defective. That was the fastest injector swap on a LB7 that I've ever seen. Truck runs great now. I still can't wrap my head around his customer service. Glenn, you saved my ass when I was in a pickle, hopefully I can pay you back somehow.

Thanks again to everyone on here for the help too. Tom offered to come by with tools and a scanner. I really appreciate it. This community right here is awesome. After seeing Adam's luck and members here helping him out, I'm glad I'm a part of it. I'd do the same thing for any one of you guys.
