Ok guys my LLY has been acting weird. I can start the truck just fine but when I turn the switch back one notch back to kill the engine to keep my accys on, it just kills my gaugues and the motor changes tone and keeps running??

Why is that? Heres the the weird thing, I bought a brand new switch and still no change!! Has the correct voltage also. When I turn it one notch forward from the off position to get the accys it turns on everything just like it would in the ON position. Its annoying to have my lift pump on when im just in accy position. Anyone have any ideas? Why would the motor keep running when I turn the key back??
Thanks

only time i had anything like this happen was when my glow plug/intake air heater relay crap out and back feed power to the fuse block and keep the truck running no matter where the key was. dont know if LLYs have that though.

maybe try unplugging any aftermarket accessorys and see if that kills the truck

yeah id click that key back where the motor "should be off" and start unplugging things till the motor dies. should start leading you back to something

Mine did similar when my lockup box was tapped into the a4 pink wire on the bcm. Click the key back one notch and the engine would change pitch and start to "diesel". All the gauges would go all funky too. The motor would then die after about 2 or 3 seconds tho.

Interesting Mike, as mine is tapped there right now. Did your relocate a new hot source? If so where?

Yes I relocated to the A3 white wire right next to that pink one. Every single issue disappeared and I haven't had a problem since. That pink wire hot source sure caused some havoc.

Blake- Sorry I didnt see this earlier, ive been super busy and havent been on the forums much lately.

Yes, those issues are related to where the lockup controller power wire is tapped into.

I assume you swapped the wire and fixed the issue since you havent posted back in this thread? Let me know if you are still having problems.
