I had something like that happen a week ago on my buddies truck. I disconnected the battery for a minute and tried it again and it was fine.

I have never loaded a tune in an LLY without an issue, maybe it is just me... But I have had the same message, I thought it had somethin to do with bein the wrong OS. It's been a while now though I can't remember

I always have issues if I connect EFI to the laptop then to the truck in the wrong order, constantly gives me an error like the OS is locked or some such error.

I believe when I get this error I disconnect the hand held from the truck and the laptop, then re-connect the handheld to the laptop, then connect the cable from the truck to the handheld then turn the truck to run...

May have that backwards, but it's something to play with and try, fixes my issues every time so far.

I find that I have to connect the computer without EFI running and then turn on the key and the start EFI up or it gives me a error also. So who knows you might have to find the order that that truck likes!!!

Hey i figured it out tonite. After several failed attempts. For shits and giggles i tried reading it as an LB7. And viola it worked.

I thought it was an LLY because when I was under the truck straightpiping it for him i saw the cat and new it was an 04. So I just assumed. But after checking the VIN and under the hood it is definately a california emissions LB7.

Got a decent tune created and in it for him and he liked it. It runs quicker than my buddies PPE set to 160hp, and the transmission clicks of shifts perfect with no slip.
