HELP: ECM is in an unknown state

I have been running my stock tune for a week now and wanted to go back to the race tune. The race tune was loaded and it locked up at 29%. I had to start it over and now it wont even take my stock tune. Tells me that "EFI Live has detected that this ECM may not have a valid calibration"

The details say's "ECM is in an unknown state"

Truck will NOT start, doesnt even turn over.

Please help.

I assume when you say "it won't let me take my stock tune" you mean it will not allow you to read it? you might want to try and the emergency ECM Relearn procedure.

What happens when you check status?

Since it locked at 29%, I'd say try disconnecting the battery for a half hour and reconnect. Then, reload your stock tune making sure all cables are reseated and you have the laptop on ac power. Good luck.

I dont know if this qualifies as "figuring it out" but, I let it sit with the ign off for about 15 minutes, rebooted the laptop, hooked everything back up and checked the "Alt Keys" box and I was able to reload my stock tun back on and then my new race tun on. THanks to you guys for replying !!!!! :hug: Hopefully I'll learn enough about it one day to return the favor to someone else.
