I had a cup lift up on me which caused my truck to do a lot of shit. So we took the whole thing apart on both sides pulled all the Injectors and cups then cleaned out the heads where the cups seat and reinstalled. Also had to replace the cup and injector on #7 because of major Blow by. So we Locktighted down the cups and the bolts holding down the injector and put it all back together. The next day we let it warm up and then took it out on the road to see how she was handling. It would get up and go just fine but wouldn't go past 2000rpm. I also replaced the fuel filter after that and still the same problem. No Check engine light or codes are being thrown either! Why is it putting itself in Limp mode like this?? Please help Im stumped on what would cause this.

Sounds like it is limping. Has it been tuned? If so, the tuner may have disabled the mil for the problem, but the truck still protects itself.

I have completely Torn my truck apart right now one head was getting worn out pretty badly but the other one was perfect. Those are at the Machine shop getting checked out right now. NOTHING was disconnected that I noticed could have caused an issue and yes it has been tuned. I have EFI Live Moonshine on it I plan on pulling the tunes off once its all put back together. Balance rates were fine and Injectors came out looking brand new. I was unable to determine my actual and desired FRP what are the stock numbers for that any ideas?? Could that be because of my CP3 Injection Pump on it or no?

Check the voltage in the fpr and frpr sensors. Same happened to me, and one of the wires in the frpr (right side of engine by the fuel rail) was pulled out. Replaced the pigtail and it ran phenomenally

If you reset the computer, is it back to normal, at least for a time?

Did your truck throw any codes when this happened? And im Guessing you used a Volt meter to check them correct? Thanks for the advice I will go through and double check all my wires and connections and see what I can find

It took a while to throw a code. I have a scanner and when I scanned it, the code showed as 'pending' but didn't light up the CEL. I forget what code it was; I think it was pointing to the FPR but was really the FRPR.

And yep, just used a multimeter and stuck the end in each pin on the pigtail looking for any reading.

Good luck!!

Head Gasket

So because my head gasket was blown so badly it caused my truck to go into limp mode (2000rpm) Once we replaced the head that was bad and put it back together she ran like a champ and we did all of this without pulling the cab off the truck.
