I'm new to this forum and am ready to learn more about the duramax. I own three diesel vehicles that I do all maintenance and repairs myself. I've had my 6.5L for over four years now and have had my TDI for two years. The duramax is definitely quite a creature of it's own as far as complexity compared to my other vehicles. I've owned my duramax for a little over a month now and it's a great vehicle!

dmaxman06: I really like the 6.5 as well. It has a few quirks and takes a certain owner but mine has been a great truck. It's a light duty motor but parts are cheap and are easy to wrench on.
