Hey all, I have an 02 Chevy 2500HD CCLB 4x4 with LB7 Duramax and Allison Trans. I ordered the truck so I could get the Red exterior Tan cloth interior I wanted. It took 3-6 months for the truck to be built as I recall.
I drove it home from the Dealer in the LA area to San Diego and immediately put it on jack stands. It has an RCD 6" suspension lift and rides on Weld 17" wheels with 35" tires. I originally ran it with BFG Mud Terrains but have Kumho Road ventures on it now.
It has been a great truck and I have had very few issues with it. It did have the injectors replaced under warranty at about 30k miles, and again at 120k miles with my own money. Did a few glow plugs at the last repair too. The Allsion had a shift solenoid stick once but other than that it has been flawless!
I also had an 01 GMC 2500HD RCLB 2x4 with a service body. It had 220k miles when I sold it and was a great truck too!
Currently I have a complete LLY engine, trans, transfer case, etc that I was going to swap into a 72 GMC K20. I have decided to keep the 72 truck a BBC and am looking to sell the LLY package if you know anyone interested!
