Hello all! New to me 2005

Good morning all!! Well I finally grew a pair and bought a real truck!! It's an 2005 2500HD 4X4 Diesel crew cab long bed!!
I bought it from my brother and he has kept it in really nice condition.
It only has 91,000 miles.
My only concern is it seems to have a small delay when I first press on the gas pedal.
Is this a torque converter going out?????
Also the Brake pedal has some play before it engages???
It has the full Banks exhaust kit, cold air intake and a K&N air filter. Also a programmer. It's set for fuel MPG right now and I haven't tried any other settings!!
Please any advice would be great!!!
The truck drives really nice just those two things?

The delay when you press the gas is probably just some turbo lag. Have you driven a diesel truck before? Diesel trucks have a lot more lag than a gas or diesel turbocharged car, and it is normal. Though it is hard to describe how much lag is normal.

If the torque converter were going out, when you got heavy in the throttle, it would start to slip (rev up without going faster). Depending on what power setting the Banks was used on, for how long, and how it was driven, the transmission could be getting tired. Stock, they are bulletproof, but as the power is turned up, the trans slowly (or quickly) dies.

Finally, this era of GM truck has a unique brake pedal feel compared to other vehicles. That doesn't indicate a problem, assuming you are just noticing the different feel compared to other cars/trucks. There are a few things that can be done to make the brakes feel like the new models do, but there is no reason to unless it really bothers you.

Thanks man!! It hooks up and hauls ass for sure!! No slip at all!! I'm sure it's something I will get used to!!
