Texas Y'all
What brand are you guys running and how do you like them? Ive ran sleeves for 5 years, but it seems every other year i have to replace the inner tie rods cause they get loose. I just took the truck to get aligned on saturday, and they had a lot of play in them so i had them hold off, im considering just biting the bullet and buying new tie rods.

Thanks
Rob

I like the cognito "factory style" HD tie rods. They are holding up well and don't squeak like I was afraid the Heims would.

Ive ran all 3 types

The cognito Heims are great for adjustability and are a cheap fix
The sleeves are easy install and work....but are still factory ends:(
The cognito big guns are the my favorite so far,But i havent had them for very long

I actually called Nick at Nor Cal on these a few years ago. He told me that since I live i NW and it's a wet environment that's prolly a good idea I go with the factory style rod but larger. He said they are great for southern Cali and other desertish type regions of the country. He said they wouldn't hold up very well to the salt on the roads in winter either. Thsi is what I was told. I ended up getting the FabTech ones because I could get a good deal on them

I have had the Cognito HEIM's on my truck since new and I got 50 000miles out of them before the one outside joint started to squeek a little and had a little play in it-not much or enough to cause the steering to wander though. Keep in mind this is in the harsh Canadian climate and a fair bit of off road/gravel as well. I changed them all at this time to the tune of about $200.

When it comes time to change them again, depending on how Simon's last on his truck, I may switch to the OEM style Cognito's.

How have these rods held up?
They didn't hold up near as well as the first set. Only got about 20,000 miles out of them and the outside ones were worn out again.

Switched to HD Fabtech oem style ones and put 60,000 on them and they're still tight.

For a DD I'd go with the oem style HD ones but for race or sled pull truck the heim might be fine. Salt, dirt, sand and water are tough on the heim.
