Hi guys. I'm new to this forum and in the process of installing some ppe manifolds and up pipes without the egr riser. Would it be beneficial to heat wrap the manifolds and up pipes since they do not have heat shields on them

Lower under hood temps and keep's the heat in the exhaust. Hot gas move's faster and helps spool up.:thumb:
I have his turbo blanket. The blankets for the up pipes wouldn't fit with my hx40 down pipe. Wouldn't mind getting some manifold blankets though
Actually the manifold blankets run about $120 a pair. Maybe the lightened wallet will get you into the 10's? :spit: :hug:
Plenty of reasons to run blankets, just because they aren't on your truck doesn't make them not worth it.
Definitely put them on exhaust, and turbine housings. Keeps the heat where it's supposed to be and reduces underhood temps by a good bit.
The blankets are excellent for keeping under hood air temperature down. That also means you get cooler intake air coupled with the heat energy for driving your turbos. I have not had any negative side effects from running bkankets. I even use a heat reflective sleeve on my cold side intercooler since it is lower in the engine Bay near more concentrated heats. Levi made those for me intially. I cut out templates and sent those in to him. I told him to keep the templates because he would need them again. You will be very happy you did these mods.
