Heat coming out of back of seats?

Not sure where to put this but what's up with the heat blowing out on the back seat passengers when I turn on my a/c seat? I have a 15 GMC does everyone's do this?

I am not too familiar with the details on these but my understanding is that the cooling system is a self contained unit. The heat that it pulls out from the seat has to go somewhere. So blown out the back

Why can't they vent it outside my truck? Would that be hard to do?
