He quoted me 500 to recess the valves. Already paid him 200 to resurface the heads. I'd rather get the 200 back and spend it for new heads. I'm going to at least see if the shop will give me my money back and have him buy my heads off me for like 500-600. Then buy new heads and I'll only have another 300 to pay out of pocket. I just want to wipe my hands clean of that shop.
That's awful cheap labor, or my machine shop was awful high. It cost me 1000 to deck the heads, cut valves, new guides and seals.
Kidwell's must be expensive as ****.
They have the best rep in 75 miles of here (only machine shop left actually), but I thought they were steep. They did awesome work though.
