I've got an 09 Silverado I'm looking to get some new headlights for it mostly because the "glass" is in pretty rough shape. I've been noticing the headlights on the new pickups, they look sharp but they also look alot different. Anybody know if they're any good and if you can get similar units for a 2009?

Not like the newer trucks but I just put the black halo/projector headlights in my 09 with DDM 4300k HID lights. Pretty easy install, they also come in chrome if your not into the black out look.

These are the spyder brand lights.

How are the projectors on those lights? I have heard a projector upgrade is almost a must with aftermarket headlights.

I like them, the road is definantly easier to see at night and no flashing lights from on coming cars, HID's in non-projector style houses get pulled ober around here.

I had HID in my high/low and fogs on my last truck and got pulled over during the day on a four lane highway because to state trooper traveling on the other side said they were too bright to be on even during the day.

He let me off with a warning but said even during the day I would need to treat the fogs like high beams and turn them off for on coming traffic. Well the reason I ran them during the day was for the cool factor and I liked how they looked turned on.

With my 3500 I just put in LED bulbs that don't light up the road at all but match the color of the LED's in my headlights. When I need more light I flip on the rigid 20" light bar.

I have the same light and love them as well. Had them for a couple of years. I did notice the protective coating peeling off the other day. I got a Sylvania Headlight Refresher kit. Look like new again.:)

Those are sharp looking units, good to know they actually work as well; otherwise I'd propably stick to OEM replacement

Recon Headlights. I've got a set on this truck and my LML.. no issues at all and the projectors are really good IMO

The Dude, looks great! Recon headlights are very popular among truck owners. I also like these Spec-D Halo Projector headlights on the Silverado. They look sharp and provide superior illumination!

Is that an actual photo with lights installed or photo shopped adding the headlights? They don't seem to be angled correctly?
