Hey guys I recently picked up a new to me 06 lbz fully loaded crew cab. I've noticed a few issues the past few days and after doing a few searches i still haven't fully found an answer. I was playing with the lights the other day to see what worked and what didn't and it was about 6:00 pm with plenty of daylight left. I couldn't get the headlights to come on. Then I found out they would only come on in auto mode. Then I started trying to get the fog lights to come on and had no luck. I checked the bulbs and found the driver side to be burned out but the passenger side was fine. The next morning at 5am I went to leave for work and I tried again and the headlights turned on fine went i put them in both the on and auto position. Then I tried the fog lights and the passenger turned on fine. Again this morning I did the test and the headlights turned on fine in the both positions but the foglights did not. And as of this afternoon I couldn't get the headlights or foglights to turn on. It's just weird to me and I plan on digging into more this weekend. I was just curious if you guys had any ideas at all. Thank you!

Update, tonight heading into work I turned my headlights in the on position and they came and stayed on for about 10 seconds then shit off. So then turned it back on auto then back into the on Position and this time it they stayed on for about 1 minute then shut off. I did notice they were a lot of street lights I was going under at the time, but I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. As I pulled into work I switched them back into the on position and they stayed on till I turned the truck off. At work I have street lights as well but they are very high in the air and pretty dim. Last thing that I noticed, last night while locking the truck with the remote the parking lights flashed. This morning I did the same thing at dusk and my driving lights/brake lights came on and stayed on for about 20 seconds. Anyway it just seems very random.

^^^ this

you can also try taking it apart and cleaning it up and making sure all of the contacts are in place but it is probably better to just replace it

I tried it again today and the headlights flickered, then turned off then back on again by themselves. Making me think maybe it's a ground? But doesn't the auto and on position (the whole switch) use the same ground?

Replaced the switch and so far so good!! Also the fog light fuse was missing. Replaced it and it worked. Only weird thing is I know I've seen the fog light worked once before..
