Heading to Texas soon !

I am heading to Texas this weekend or next to go pick up a truck . Still waiting to hear back from the guy what part of texas he lives in , all i know at this point is its "central" Texas . Cant wait to make the road trip , i always like going to parts of the country i have never been too .

Anything i should make it a point to see while there ? ( it will be a pretty short trip but )

It should be good , i found a 2001 gmc crew cab long bed that needs some motor work done to it . It will be nice if i ever get it running because then i can roll bar my 01 and get a little more serious next year and still have a truck to take camping and family stuff , Its kinda hard to explain to the wife that we have to cancel the family camping trip because the truck is down when that is what we initially bought it for


here are a few pics of the truck , its not officially mine yet but i gave the guy a deposit , have the money lined out from the bank and plan to pick it up in the next week or 2 .

Thanks man , and i agree every chevy i have ever bought i was looking for a GMC at the time and settled . Picking it up for 6000.00 I thought it was a decent price since i can fix the motor myself .

I dont know yet , the guy said the dealership diagnosed 3 cylinders with low compression and the low coolant light came on a few days before . It turns over but doesnt fire acording to him . Dimitri told me about that your singlre cab , and said he was heading down there sometime, I have a spare motor but may need it for my truck if it pops , let me know a price and it would be convenient to send it back with the truck if Dimitri buys it . I thought he said he was going to pick up a LBZ rodded motor from you also to put in his crew cab , is that the same one or do you have another spare ?

He might be heading to texas with me , not shure yet on the details .

the track is open the 18th for test and tune and the 19th and 20th for bracket racing/ test and tune
