Headgasket didn't like 90 psi boost. Still ran 11.07. With video

Popped her out today. Cold, dense air isn't always a good thing. Truck started spinning around the 1/8th, let out of it (hadn't clued in yet what was going on) put my foot back in it for about a second and realized something wasn't right. coasted to an 11.07 @ 123. truck was moving hard. What studs do i want to put in it? Have the regular ARP's now.

Its most likely the gasket itself. If I were concerned I would us some of the gas ringed gaskets from DPR. They allow for better sealing.

Regular ARP's that you have should be fine Kelly.

WTF?

Do you have personal experience or some other good reason as to why you say the "low end" headstud can hold 90 PSI!?!?!

That is a shitton - I would be talking to Guy about his custom 14mm studs, or at least the 12mm ARP 625 Custom studs, thats what Im running.

matt no offence, but you have no more experience than he does. You've never built a motor, you've never built a trans, or built anything else... Your opinion on this matter just pure assumption, and what more knowledgeable people have told you. I would let them answer this question before jumping into this thread and all over s phinney...

just my opinion

Thanks for your opinion Ben - but I brought my opinion nowhere into this.

Be a man and stick with your 'no bickering/fighting' pledge you spewed at Christmas.

Bullfrog.... interesting thought. While I wish I would have known about the 14mm when I did my 625s, I dont see an issue with those, do you?

No question though Im sure the 14mm are the primo setup today.

I believe the 625's have their place but with the setup kelley is running and he is just getting this setup dialed in with already 90psi he would be wasting his time doing 625's. At that kind of pressure the block will be the next weak link.

I don't see why you say 625's aren't good for 90psi... my buddy with a CR runs 120 psi and hasn't blown a head gasket with the 625's.
