I was in the same ish boat, have the trans out of my lly, picked up a set of up pipes from dan at ppe for a good price, i figure they are easier with the trans out, and i can come back and do manifolds if i really feel i need it.
My truck is just bolt ons, but i wanted to get rid of the egr up pipe. I have never done them with the trans in place, but it went super quick woth it out of thw way
