What is up with the header gaskets on sbc i have replaced to so far on gas hog. I am going to put regular manifolds on it tommorw and see what happens.

flanges prob aren't flat, cut the flanges so that the front and back are independent from the center 2, see if that helps, if not put them against a belt sander
Ok thanks paul. I will do that sometime right now work is crazy so i will put a regular set of manifolds on it for now and play with my headers in my free time.
are you use the one for the iron log manifold on a tubular header setup? they will blow out ever time if so.

You really just have to check them often. My first truck I had to replace header and collector gaskets at least once a week because the bolts would loosen and cause them to blow out.
Mine use to go out on my suburban's 350 all the time. Had a good set of Jardine Headers, but would still come undone. Try using these. They helped out a lot.
