For work I'll be headed to Groton, CT to work @ the sub base down there for 6-11 months starting late August. Although this isn't set in stone yet chances are pretty high it's going to happen, I'll be bringing my truck with me and hopefully can find some Duramax companions to drink and burn tires with and also beat up on the locals with straight 6 junk. anyone near Groton? and are there any cool events near there late summer-fall to check out???

Im not anywhere near Groton, but CT has a heavy presence of diesel trucks. I'd check out the Diesel Nationals at englishtown NJ Sept. 15. Thats a pretty big event.

Hey i am about 30 min from groton but leavin for afgan next month so wont be around not may events the south has a shit load more. Lost of cummins and joke strokes and shit talkers up here but nothing major. Havent had anything beat me around here yet and yea the best your going to get is 100ft drags :roflmao:

Thanks guys,
Looking more like I'll be closer to the 11 month stay then 6, just need to be good and not try to build a motor with the perdiem instead of paying off a bunch of stuff like I should.

My sister and her first husband lived there for a while way back in the early 90s when he was in the Navy. Buddy and I got to tour the base with him. VERY cool to see a sub in drydock. Even those fast-attack subs are huge.
