Head Guides Needed?

Hey guys im doing headgaskets on my 01 LB7 and when i pulled off the heads last week i lost one of the guides on the drivers side. Can you go back without the guides? Only drawback im having right now besides losing 3 inj hold down pins at the machine shop.

You must have them, or your gasket will not line up with the oil/coolant passages correctly, and you risk a piston contacting the gasket.

their cheap enough to get another one, gasket doesn't line up so great without them

Evan and I were saying that back this winter.... we think the machine shops swipe them and just sell them all to Scott because he probably has more stock then GM does at this point:roflmao:

Just in case Scott ever runs out.......they are pretty easy to make. It took about an hour and a $3 dollar piece of black pipe.:thumb:
I thought about trying to market them for the goombas like me and Blake that lose them!
