Hey guys i have to do head gaskets on my 2005 lly and had bought lots of parts to do while i was in there and was woundering if im missing anything
ARP Head Studs
Grade C Gaskets
EGR Delete
Down Pipe
Lift Pump AirDogII 165
PCV Reroute
PPE Shim Kit
LML Manifold
Water Pump
EFI Live with CTS Monitor
I think thats all i got haha anyhow i need torque spece for the bolts and its my first time so ima be helping a buddy that is a heavy duty mechanic and is going to be helping me i guess just label and clean everything and i should probably be fine right and any other things to do while im in there

Go on the socal diesel website. The tq specs are here too. The tq sequence for the headstuds is 40,80,125 starting on the inside then moving outawards. The smaller bolts on the heads are tq to 25 ft lbs

Get a turbo blanket from Levi. You will need it after you remove your turbo heat shield. http://crdpower.com/

I'd probably pick up some thermostats too... no telling what happens to them ridin around on blown hg's

I'd prob do a LBZ FPR or at least a new FPR either way....sucks tearing down a LLY to do one on its own.

It'd be a good time to do valve springs and seals if it was in the budget.
