LLY: Head gasket job with upgrades

I'm getting ready to do my head gaskets with head studs. While I'm that far down what should I buy to upgrade I kno I want to do a cp3 but not sure which to buy

Mods so far are:
Lbz mouth piece
Egr delete
4 inch exhaust
S&b intake
Efi live

A welded or pinned water pump would be good, danville and merchant sell both. Would be a good time for a one piece y-bridge if you were planning on ever doing one. Hsp makes a nice one now. With the heads off it would be a good time to have the valves re done along with any other head re surfacing. I wouldn't shave them any more than .010 off the head gasket surface. Whatever they take off match the intake runner side to it. Also better valve springs possibly?? It will be easier to get to the oil cooler now to change seals before they go bad. Also a good tome to do injectors and turbo and cp3 like you mentions. Sky's the limit but it all boils down to budget. As far as a cp3 one of the sportsman pumps or danvilles modded pump would be fine for up to 700hp i believe. Next step would be a 10mm stroker. Either one will need efi live re tunes.

Thanks on the info I was leaning towards a Danville modded pump and i had a pinned water pump done a while back.

Ok good deal, yea depending on what your end goal is i think you'd be happy with any of those modded cp3 pumps. Also it's nice to get gm's upper engine gasket kit or one of the kits from the vendors on here. Cause you'll need all the seals. And a set of injector o rings and copper washers. And good service information for torque sequences and specs. Theres a sequence for removing head bolts and going back in.

Thanks I got a shop doing it just didn't know what else to buy n have them put on while It was torn Down that far. I'm not looking to make huge hp but I do pull it all year so that's y I wanted to go with bigger cp3 but kinda gotta keep it looking stock for the class I'm in

Pcv reroute , do Hamilton or social valve springs. Don't forget a turbo down pipe. Bigger intercooler pipes.

Use stock LML head bolts.. Dealer usually charges about 225-250.00 for them...at least that what I usually pay Save the extra for tranny.. From buying studs.
