hello guys, ive asked this question before but nobody responded. i went to a local shop and had them look at this and they are saying i need a new passenger head gasket and that i might as well do both since im doing one, they quoted me almost $5000 and i almost passed out. the truck is running fine, no puddles on the driveway or anything. there is just oil seeping from somewhere, its really hard to tell but it is in the general vicinity of the head gasket and its flowing all the way down to the oil pan but no drips or puddles on the driveway. no white smoke coming from the exhaust, trucks runs fine. i was just worried about it and wanted to fix the leak. any thoughts?

Do a dye test with a black light so you can see for yourself. Also does the upper coolant hose have pressure after you drive it? Are you using coolant?

Id get a second opinion (at another shop, not on a forum) before I let anyone touch it.

ok, truck has been sitting for a couple hours but i started it up and spun it around the block and came back home turned the truck off and squeezd the hose and it wasnt stiff. could squeeze the hose all the way with two fingers. the coolant level is fine. truck has never over heated. i just dont know how to do a dye test.

Lower valve cover gasket could be seeping. That corner and the driver's front corner as well have no oil drain hole so the oil puddles in there and can seep past the gasket.

Highly doubt it's a head gasket... As mentioned above, it looks to be the lower valve cover leaking. You could see if the lower valve cover bolts are loose, 5mm allen head IIRC.

If you can confirm it, pull the valve cover. Keep the lower and upper together, just pull the whole thing. Depending on its appearance you can decide to replace gasket($$) or smear some sealant on it to help it seal. I use Permatex Form-A-Gasket #2 on both sides of the entire perimeter of the gasket only on the lower portion.

so what should i do? lol

Clean it and look again. Shouldn't be hard to spot. Or let someone fix it.

It's a lot easier to find a leak with your head in the engine bay than through pictures.

Pull the plastic fender well out and get the pressure washer out and go to town on it. But likey already mentioned looks like a lower valve cover oil leak on a 06-07 LBZ somewhat of a easy fix other than having to remove the injectors. The lower valve cover metal gaskets are about 35.00 bucks each plus i would pickup some injector O rings and copper washers if you were going to try doing the job your self

I say bad lower valve cover gasket. Clean it up real good and dye your oil and use a black light to verify source of leak. Just google dying your oil, its very easy to do...
