with only removing the fendors i was able to reach everything that i needed, the fendors are held on by 5 bolts per side so i figured thats easier the pulling an engine or cab for the almost the same affect..
if i figured it up right we have a total of 7hrs in tear down with 3 guys working on it but that was on 3 different nights.not to bad for our first time.

well we are finaly in the rebuilding stage, had to wait untill i had the gaskets out to order the new ones and got them in yesterday and put the engine back together lastnight..
found sumthin out i never knew,Dmax made roughly 500 Duramaxs from 01-05 with an oversize bore and heavier pistons and our LLY is one ofem.how cool is that, kinda hard to get parts though.anybody know about that?

Why did they spread the 500 over 4 years  and not just in one specific year?

getting the wiring in place is proving to be slighly harder then i figured but its going good..i'm hoping she will be alive for the weekend..

not sure why GM would have done that but after doing some reading up on them they are suppose to hold the higher HP way better
