I say the only thing you should do to the heads is put some upgraded valve springs. I like the SoCal ovate wire beehive valve springs and titanium retainers for the ultimate in light weight.

Josh i'm with ya on this, have you heard of or seen/used any harland sharp roller rockers?

I've seen pictures, but I haven't actually seen any in person. I haven't heard much from people who have run them either, other than in testing.

Well price is realitive, right? Ill get back to that.
I ran a set in my gasser when i installed a procharger,( i know gas, diesel=different) the top end of the rpm seemed way more "free" the procharger really liked it.
So i was wondering like if all things diesel, the roller rockers would yield even better results in the diesel realm, not so much for horse power, but overall efficiency and wear on the valvetrain and engine life in general, maybe more top end.
Getting back to price/ being pricey...if it is one of the many upgrades that when applied as a whole keeps the engine running smoother, cooler and overall more efficient therefore increasing engine life and safegaurding against future failure and keeping me from building another block/head...
its well worth the initial investment, but if i see nothing but some parts that help 3.0 pullers win during a single or even a few seasons, well thats really not all that impressive for my needs, how many miles is a few seasons right? Just so were all clear the rockers arent going to happen, my wallet caught on fire when i started thinking about this and the credit card hasn't cooled off from the trans and chasis work, this thing is gettin way outta hand with out adding eccentric goodies.
