I am sorry in advance i am having issues with a range shift inhibited. I know there is tons of these on this site, but I can not find my problem. I have changed the NSBU and the ignition switch and i am still getting range shift inhibited on the dash. I keep throwing a P0770 Transmission Control System (MIL request) code. This is the only code my Bully Dog will pick up. I am just wondering if there is any problematic wiring areas that i could look at or if anyone else has had this problem. I am currently running a Banks 6 gun with the speed loader. If any other information is needed just let me know.

Like i stated in my original post i am only getting a P0770 Transmission Control System (MIL request) code. I dont know what other info is needed. No one has ever been inside the trans, only to replace the in pan filter. The truck has 130,000 miles and i do plow with it. I know it needs a full rebuild but i just need it to run for right now. I just had a baby and bought a house so there is no extra $4500 to build the trans. Let me know what other info is needed.

Like I stated in my post; your lack of info is not good enough. You read a code with a tuner; not accurate. How hard did you drive it?
Remember we cannot see or check anything on the computer. We need accurate codes read by a professional scanner, or we cannot help.

Mike is saying the bully dog will not read TCM codes. P0700 is the tcm telling the ecm to turn the check engine light on. It does not mean anything to us as far as a trouble shooting stand point. You need a higher end scanner to read the actual codes in the TCM.

Ok. Thank you for clearing this up for me. I will stop by my friends shop tomorrow and have my truck scanned with their scan tool. I haven't drove the truck hard, i know 5th is already on it's way out so i've been babying it. I have the banks on 2 currently just for fuel mileage.

Sorry about the long delay on this thread, things got a little hectic for me. I did have my truck scanned and got a P0841 and P0843. I changed the oil last at apx. 80,000 with an in pan filter and dex VI oil. I currently have 130,000 so i am going to change the oil soon. I change the spin on usually every 8000 miles. Is it common for this switch solenoid c to stick or could it be another issue?
