guy called me about doing head gaskets on his 06 and said they were really bad and that he overheated it. it has 358K on it ccsb 06 LLY, he crashed it into his garage and messed up the front end. needs a hoof driv fender bumper and head lights and maybe a grill. batteries were dead but said he would get it charged up and I could see/hear it run. paint and interior are pretty good but has barb wire scratches down the drivers side so its going to need some paint. blue booked it and in fair condition which it is not at all is 11k$ he said 6K he would take and I said 2500$ lol. it needs several thou and that's with m doing the work. how much can I expect to get out of it fixed up? clean title, would someone pay 13-14K if it was in good running condition and cleaned up and some paint work?

Sounds like he never cared for the truck and beat the snot out of it. You could take the risk for what you're offering, but no way for what he's asking.

Down here that thing might fetch $10-12K running with that kind of milage, he's dreaming at $6000, even $3600 is pushing it. Once peopel call up and get a $5-6K quote from a stealer to do the heads and gaskets, most would run. Not to mention with it having body damage. $2500 is MORE than fair for a parts truck, and more than I would go.
