Funny i just had mine rebuilt by goerge and it does the same my converter is white ppe !I drove 7hrs hope its not a major issue...
if youre talking about blackout, i totally agree. but a lot can happen between tuning and converter lockup....or tuning and clutch pack clearances...and with many hands in the fire, it makes things more difficult, thats all. id just start with george's opinion and work my way down
I'm hoping the same! I mean, it very well could be a tuning issue, under normal driving conditions and even getting into it moderately the converter locks up nice and firm. But Wot is a different story.

^^^^exactly! Feels like it jumps when it locks up. definatly not the norm. Hopefully someone can chime in that has had this issue and maybe resolved,

I am planning to get ahold of him soon and see what he thinks. I just know I have had tunes on mine from more than 1 reputable tuners (robs also) and its acted the same. Gonna try to get to the bottom of this soon though.
Theres a big difference between a solid lock up and what I am experiencing. You need to distinguish that difference first before you make assumptions about the PPE. My truck feels like its about to jump off the road and the tires chirp like a bitch.
Spoke with George and, it sounds like the c3 clutch pack may be glazed over and the Trans is trying to compensate by adding more pressure on the 4-5 shift. If it was a converter issue, it would be whenever it locked up, wot or not. Just some of the info I have gathered. We will have to see.

Maybe your situation is different. I highly doubt your clutch packs are bad lol. I mean I know George, and he is the kind of guy that will assure you that your Trans is running perfect before you go on your way. My 06lly was built by him and it was such a nice shifting Trans.

I agree with you i mean 1-2 3-4 shifts like butter 4-5 just feels more of a firm shift kinda like a 350 turbo with a shift kit

you do know the shift is going to be firmer due to increased apply pressure right? From your description, there is absolutely nothing wrong with how yours is shifting.

Refresh my memory, doesn't the TC unlock during the shift for like a millisecond then re lock after the shift? If so maybe its in the tune and the event isn't correct making it significantly harsher? Have you tried different tunes and see if it does it the same?

What happens when everything ,tunes, engine and transmission is returned to stock? That would be my diagnostic start. Then you can see if it is a hard part issue or else-wise.
I could be wrong about the TC unlock if so diss regard but I recall hearing or seeing that.
