Feed the squirrels pancakes every now and then and maybe you can convince them to match revs a little better on the upshift....???:D

ha! maybe i shouldnt be injecting steroids in them... hmmm

Maybe back to the basics. New spin on filter?

has a new spin on, rebuild t-case, new fuel filter, and new slip yoke on the driveshaft all within the last 1-2k miles.

I think you're going to break an input shaft pretty soon.
Remember you are running 300 psi mainline and have no knockdown. When it downshift it isn't unlocking the TCC and you get a nasty whack with no cushion to absorb it.
You have a control problem.

That's exactly what I'm worried about and figured but I have no clue where to look in the tuning and Steve doesn't either. I can't find any info on this nor if it can even be fixed.

No more making this thing slam. I'll flash a stock shift pattern back in before I tow again but there has to be something in the tuning. The shitty part is the only way to test it is making it slam unless someone out there has fix this before. It's a loose loose situation...

You can't have a perfect tow truck and race truck. You have to give up something. I keep trying to tell that to Verlon over at ATP. He gives me a funny look and asks " why not " :D

Just do a cal flash of the TCM back to stock for when your going to tow, then cal flash back when your not towing. This way your adaptives will stay pretty close so you don't have to go through the full relearn each time. I hate to say it, but this was one of the complaints I had about the 02 OS. There were soem things about it I like better than others, but of the lot the 01 OS shifted the best of all of them without the slamming shifts out of nowhere. The 03-04 LB7 TCM OS shifted nicely as well, but I lost OD/LO with it.

Or I'll just slow to 55 if she kicks down to 3rd. That's 3200 and the shift is smooth as can be there.

Wonder if kory could find the table.... Hmmm
