Hard time fueling 05 Tahoe

Went to fuel up my wifes 05 Tahoe Z 71 tonight.

Put the pump in the gas tank, squeeeze the handle and about 5 seconds later the pump stops and gas shoots out the tank!.

So i had to barely squeeze the handle to fill the tank, if i tried to go fast but it puked out the opening.

Any body have this Problem? Took me 10 min. to pump 10 galons!

Im thinking a vent is clogged, but if there is one not sure where it is.

Everytime I fill my truck I cant lock the pump to fill it or it will do this oh well

Don't the gas vehicles have a charcoal canister in the vent? I bet it is plugged up.

Unsure on 1/2 ton vehicles but on my brand new 2003 2500 Avalanche the fuel tank had a anti siphon flapper in the neck off the tank. The first time I fueled it it would not take fuel hardly. Got some in and went to a Avalanche Club gathering and pulled the damn piece out and through it as hard as I could in the field. Went to fuel up and flowed like crazy. But do have to watch it can splash out a bit. There was a GM fix but I forget what that was. Unsure if it was related to 1/2 vehicles.

Found out there is an EVAP solenoid mounted near the rear of the tank that gets clogged.

Gotta get a New one.
