Check this out, I did this when I was 5 up until I was 15. I learned alot about racing during this time and can definately drive. There are tracks in your area in San Bernardino and Pomona. You can get a good car for around $3000 and a top notch brand new motor for $1000 if you have an questions feel free to ask, I know a good chassis builder and motor builders in your area. quartermidgets.org
