Allison 5sp: Hanging in 4th gear sometimes

When the nights started getting colder 30s to low 40s for the last few weeks this started happening every morning. Ive never had this before & thats why Im concerned about it. Riding down the highway in 4th gear is annoying & great for my mileage.
I did notice the converter is not locking in 4th until temp gets up to 140 degs then it will shift.

Im running Amsoil torque drive. Im going pick up some filters at the Ally dealer & change filters & fluid, hopefully this will help. I forgot to mention I changed the fuel filter today & it did it again tonight, so I can rule that out.
Sounds like a leak internally somewhere to me. An o-ring somewhere maybe?
I think you have ruled out the tuning and fuel issue as you are running a predator which doesn't allow for much adjustment. Just the same, I would maybe try removing your power adders and take it for a spin to rule them out completely.

Update - I changed out the filter and the truck shifted better. The filter was black when I cut it open, so I believe it to be clogged.
I had a buddy look at my tune to smooth out a pulsing I was experiencing and the shifting issue came back with the updated tune. So I believe it is tuning related, I think I'll just turn it back to stock, or run my bigger tune that shifted better.

I changed both filters & fluid the other day, the hangs seem to be getting shorter every time. I wish I could reset it & start fresh, but will just have to let it work it out.
