Made a change over the past few weeks...

Sold the water to air assembly, which lost 65lbs. I was hesitant selling it, because it downright worked awesome, but bringing 100lbs of ice to the track every time with a limited amount of time in the box, it just got to be a hassle. Using meth for fuel won't need an intercooler anymore

Upgraded to twin billet S480's with the 87 turbine wheel, and Methanol from E98. Time to party

Al, if you decide to go Holley, definitely go the HP route.

I had to the entry level "terminator X" and had nothing but problems. The HP is about 2k for everything you need, TermX is 1-1300$ depending on application.

The most expensive option is the Dominator but that is suited for full out promod style cars.
The Holley has a self learn feature, so it constantly makes ajdustments up to a set value that you enter. It so has a faster refresh rate so if the engine goes lean, it's already pulling timing.

As far as tuneability, I haven't had that much experience with it, as I have a tuner that does it for me, but from what I have seen, it's very user friendly, moreso than EFI.

What engine/trans combo will you be running?

Good to know, thanks Brian.

I’m going to run a iron 6.0 with aftermarket ls3 heads, sloppy stage 2 cam, 1000cc+ injectors. Trying to decide on going forged 403 with a cheap turbo setup or gapping the rings and going yolo on a stock bottom end with a F1a94. I can’t afford both. Truck is still going to daily and hit the track as much as I can. Shooting for 1000 at the tires on E85/90.

Picked up a cheap ls 4l80e with a shift kit in it and a 2” crack in the bell housing by the alignment dowl. I’m just going to tig it. And run a good triple disc with a 3k ish stall.

Any thoughts as you have been here already?

The SBE will make 1k, but who knows for how long. I'd vote for SBE and yolo it down the track.

100lb injectors won't be enough on e85, at minimum I'd go 160lb. When I made 1200rwhp on E98 I was running 250lb injectors and that's what they liked.

Fuel supply will also be an issue, a single magnafuel 4303 will support about 900hp on e85, so keep that in mind as well. I run twin 4303 pumps.

The 80 will be ok, but I'm a th400 fan. A good converter will go a long way but it's as expensive to build as an Allison for 1k.

Good info thanks. I’ll bump injector size up to at least 160. Do recall what duty cycle you were at for 1200?

Truck has twin in tank pumps but I highly doubt they are up to the task.
