Half my steering wheel buttons do not function

Ok my truck has a double din nav unit in the truck and comps any speakers and all that stuff. Was wondering if that had anything to do with my problem of half the controls not working. Ie stereo volume,ect. Or could it be a fuse making them not work?

Did they work with that head unit before? usually when you instal an aftermarket one you lose those controls unless you have a steering wheel interface i think it's called

Wheel controls wont work with aftermarket deck without some form of adapter unit.

if you go on crutchfield they will tell you which adapter you need, when I did mine I just chose the cheapest one that retained the alarm but not the steering wheel controls because the one that I needed to retain the wheel controls was too rich for my blood
