so I pulled up in front of the little womans house tonight with dinner, and a kid in a new body style truck passes me, slams on the brakes and backs up. he said he noticed the numbers and askes if I Race the truck, I said yup. then he asked how fast, so I shot out with 13.0s then he asks if I want to line up, now i'm currently testing a milage tune so I had to decline for the evening but told him i'd gladly do it another time. he then says if I see him just get up next to him and we'll give it a go... as long as he has his bottle filled... so I immediately tease him with an " awwww baby needs his bottle?" lol anyway he was cool about it. not sure what hes packin. it was a crew cab, I think long bed and had that vormax badge on the side. i'm assuming its a possible 8.1. but i'm not up on what the new bodys have under the hood. whatcha guys think? I assume I have a pretty good shot even if hes on the bottle unless hes runnin more juice than gas lol. cant wait for this one to take of. i'm gonna try to get him to take it to the track. or atleast have the gf in the truck so she can take a video clip or something.

well, i'll just have to keep ya posted when I git the chance to run him. he wa spretty confident, I dont think he has a clue where he stands. maybe he thinks I was pullin his leg. guess someones gonna go home upset when this goes down

And just an FYI, the VortecMax is a 6.0 rated at 367 HP and 375 FtLbs of torque. With his weight advantage of probably at least 1000 lbs and him spraying, it will probably be a pretty good race.

the 13.5 the best I mustered on the McRat tune before I got the lift pump installed. the 12.8 was my best run last year after tuning and testing

I raced a single cab short bed 5.7 tundra that was sprayin a 100 shot the other night. He wanted to race on a 30 roll, no one would race me from a stop.

He got me on a 30 roll big time, but i sure as hell got him on a dig at one light...up until i hit about 70

you can surely take his truck no problem

There was a extended cab at HRP about a month and a half back. Dam thing was running 13.20's. I don't know if this is true, but a friend of mine said toyota has a option from the factory for a supercharger. Any truth to that?

They do on Tacoma's, or used to anyway. I'm not sure about the Tundra.

Toyota has been teasing there enthusiests since 2002 with these superchargers ........ and I don't think you can get one for the Tundra still yet!!
I bought one in 2002 with plans of installing the charger and after numerous calls to TRD.......it was apparent that it wasn't happening......I gave up and sold it.
13.20's!!!...............was that bone stock?? If so, that's darn impressive!

You can not get chargers for the 5.7 unless you have friends in high places. I worked for toyota for 4 years and never saw one for the 4.7 but they are supoosed to be available now.

Dont underestimate the 5.7, i raced a bone stock rcsb 5.7 4wd and he waxed me with a 120 tune in and stock charger.

Thats impressive. I knew they were quick, but I didn't think they were that quick.

Somebody run the calculation for a 4200+- lb. truck with a 102 mph trap speed and see how much H.P is required to do that...............I'm bettin' it's more than any STOCK Toyota has got!!..........but I could be wrong
