If I could lend a machete to the jungle of thought(or miracle grow, to make it worse)
Form what I have read in this thread, and several others, the gt 4202r is maxed out in the high 9hundo range, and comfortable around mid to high 8hund range?
The vgt72 is capable of high 8hund and makes mid 8 easy. So, 2 things I am wondering, 1) why sacrifice spool, drivability and towing characteristics with the 42 series charger 2) why spend the coin to switch out to a t4 pedestal and upgrade chargers to a 42 series when you have the base of the vgt72 already?
To upgrade the 4094 to the 72 should only cost (estimating by what Matt has told me) 1200. That's a far cry from the 5000 it is going to cost to attain a (new) 4204r and the install kit....
All for what, an extra 50-100hp on the top end(at the most) hell, punch your injectors out to 100 over and add some NOS, that will get you an easy 150hp, for a third the cost, and you can prolly keep your kidney the extra fuel is going to be needed anyways, to support the power you were wanting to attain

I just want this thing to spool reasonable and then be like. Holy Sh1t balls 'Mericaaaaaa
I am at sea level, willing to change converters, and Tony will be tuning it. I do run 33's which I'm sure will not help but I don't plan to tow much more than my snowmobile trailer and the occasional demolition derby car.Converter, elevation and tuning will play a huge role in spooling... So will tire size I used to DD 29" tires and then bumped up to 31"s I noticed slower spooling and higher EGTs while towing.
