So Cal.
Thanks for the link.... I kinda had a feeling this would be the case...

Has anyone ever installed a Batmo upgrade and seen gains at the track (not the dyno)? My question only applies to JUST a batmo upgrade.

Here's a link to the thread on CompD with the testing.

http://www.competitiondiesel.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142796&highlight=batmowheel

Basically they tested the BW Cast 80mm wheel against a double batmowheel 80mm and came up with

Batmo - .86Kg/s = 114lbs/min
Borg 80- .92Kg/s = 122lbs/min

Later on in the thread several people connected to BW confirm the data after it's validity was questioned.

Yes, and even this info that you post is not accurate either, the turbo they tested was their new 7blade Billet 80mm FMW against the Batmo80mm, not their cast 8 bladed wheel. The map that was posted doesn't match the map that was posted in the magazine article about this new billet 80mm 7 blade FMW(Forged Milled Wheel). Funny part is this "new" borg wheel is a carbon copy of the Bullseye wheel. Here in the real world on the track they are not comparable. I did the back to back testing on all of these wheels on a truck and it was about 80hp difference between the billet wheel and the batmo. If the batmowheels were junk like they want us to believe then my customers wouldn't continue to win and do as well as they do, period. We win points championships from 3.0 down to workstock and all with batmo's.

We are going to do a Dyno competition next month to prove this point. It is the BatmoChallenge, MM for MM borg-based turbos, your turbo vs. batmo and if your's makes more power then you win $500, that simple. We will do 10-20 trucks and we are hosting the event here at Danville Performance, should be a good time and definitely open some eyes.

Mark, so you will let people come dyno their truck with their non batmo borg turbos, the swap in a same size batmo charger and see the difference on the dyno? Sounds interesting.

Easy there. For the record, I wasn't picking a side. My first post's flow information was copied/pasted from the OP in the link. I honestly don't care to have a dog in this fight. I only posted up the information he was after and mentioned others had confirmed the test later in that link, since that was the first thing I seen debated in the other thread...false testing.

No, don't take what I said personal, wasn't meant to be. This is how it starts and then the rumor mill is spinning regardless if it is true or not. Pisses me off to no end, false info posted to misslead. Not your fault, just how it works, sorry. This is the exact reason for hosting the Batmochallenge, prove it in the real world, put their money where their mouth is!:thumb:

Yes Josh, if someone has a truck that they think their Borg based not batmo turbo can beat a Batmo of the same exact size then we will run it and then switch the cart and cover with a batmo. Re run the truck with everything the same just a batmo turbo and see what it does! IF THEY BEAT THE BATMO THEY WIN $500! Pretty simple and straight forward!

Hey mark any word on the batmos coming apart? We are starting to hear quite a few claims of it not only on the bigger chargers but also on the factory replacement wheels.

I have also heard it too. I haven't had any issues with the stock replacement ones except lb7's spun to hard(seen 2 out of 90ish). The one batmowheel turbo I do NOT recommend is the S366 because the wheel is stronger than the shaft and they tend to pop the turbine behind the wheel. Other than the normal oiling issues/lack of or wrong charger selection for the job. I have solded close to $200k worth of BullseyePower/Batmochargers and wheels and I can count the failures I have seen on one hand. Can't say the same for some others that we have dealt with. My bottom line is I supply my customers with the best bang for the buck in my eyes and I couldn't be happier with their products and support.

I would prolly do this competition at a non supporting shops dyno.... We all know how quickly the fingers can get pointed on the man behind the dyno. Not accusing just looking to help ya out. Just my .02.

From what we have scene on tractors and trucks all engine dyno tested is that the Batmo has not produced what it is claimed to gain. Now these are all pulling applications and engine dyno tested but right now in the 2.6 - 4.1 area's the turbo to beat is either the HX60 from a few different shops and the Precision turbos. A lot of which one is better then the other is solely dependent upon motor build and setup. Yes there may have been a couple times where the Batmo may peak higher hp but the hp curve and trq was always down.
