I have a 08 700 with power steering love it and have around 2000 miles on it. Only problem is it has a miss and the motor dies hit the start botton and fires right back up. I think it's a fuel injection problem dealer couldn't fix it. it only dies every once in a while. I put on bigger mud tires a inch bigger in size. I broke the front cv joint on the right side, got stuck and sat on the front and the wheel was turned all the way and blew it apart.

Congrats on the new toy! Don't run anything smaller then a 27" tire if you change them up, really you don't need to clutch it unless you are ridding in clay. If you pipe it you will notice a mid range miss (almost backfire) only noticable without a helmet. Everything I have read but yet to try to fix the miss is add a Dynatek CDI, that's that sping addition come spring for this guy. Have fun, beat the piss out of it, you won't regret it.
Cheers

Thanks for the information. I am planning on doing the main modifications (exhaust, programmer, intake, and maybe do some clutch work). Hopefully nothing to drastic. :D I am a little concern with doing the exhaust since this thing will be used for hunting. I don't want to completely scar everything away trying to get to the back country.

My uncle has a 700. I just sold my 450 kodiak if that tells you anything. Some guy I rode with had ThunderCat and it didn't like 18 inches of water, I do know that. Not sure why, but it stalled and wouldn't refire. But when running, it would shoot rooster tails high into the trees. LOL

700Griz IMO is prolly the best made big bore out. Not the most powerful or the fastest, but they'll work hard and play harder and at the end of the day cost you next to nothing to own.

I had 4200 miles on my kodiak and it was still on the stock belt. I pulled everything under the sun out of the mud. Pulled hay wagons etc it was well built for the abuse I put it through and I managed to convert 3 die hard honda guys in out group to yamaha because of it.

Guess what I am looking at? :D
